Automatic Swing Capture with Swing Tune-Up

Swing Tune-Up uses AI technology to detect your swings automatically. It works for face-on and down-the-line camera angles, automatically detecting which camera angle it used. If you have any issues with your swing recording, please reach out to us at support@base-16.com (ideally with the screen recording). We will be glad to help you!

Setting up the camera

Try these tips to make your capture experience as smooth as possible.

  • Place/mount the camera somewhere stable. If you are holding the phone and recording someone else, try to minimize the movement and stay still.
  • The whole body is visible in the frame. You don't need to include the club head to enable auto-capture.
  • Avoid busy background/multiple people in the frame - the detector might have trouble identifying which person to track.

Arming the detector

First, hold the address stance and stay still. When it detects that you are in your address position, the box around you should turn green, indicating that it's ready to capture and waiting for your swing. The detector becomes idle when it detects non-swing movement, or you are no longer in the address position.

Capturing a swing

You can see that the status bar has changed to "Capturing" with the "REC" icon showing in the top-right corner. This indicates that Swing Tune-Up is detecting your swing and recording it.
